We bring you stories of domestic violence survivors and children from the South Asian community as part of awareness and healing initiative through storytelling. This initiative is a part of the Domestic Violence Impact Writing and Community Storytelling Fellowship received from the University of South California Annerberg School for Communication and Journalism. These stories were collected over three months of listening and writing workshops. We made sure these workshops were safe, trauma-informed spaces. Respecting the privacy of survivors, these stories were rewritten in third person taking care not to reveal any identifying information.Navigating life’s intricate fabric, choices unfold paths to the extraordinary, demanding creativity, curiosity, and courage for a truly fulfilling journey.
